She’s fairly convinced that her initials “KLK” stand for “Karen Loves Kale.” Favorite saying: “No doesn’t mean no, it just means not yet.”
High-energy and high-fun, this Fire Spirit doesn’t like to let the (wheat) grass grow under her feet. Articulate, incisive and hard-charging, she also finds time to run, practice yoga and get involved in theater and the arts. Will binge on brussels sprouts.
When he’s not investigating food deserts and poverty issues, Oliver heads for the Great Outdoors. He kayaks, hikes and knows his way around a belay line. He’s made acorn pancakes from scratch (yep with a mallet,) but prefers more exotic fare. Curry anyone?
Attorney, triathlete, family man and all-around big-hearted problem fixer. We couldn’t do what we do without this guy. He’s done everything from produce distribution to getting Veggie Bracelets to Australia to trademark issues. Oh, and he makes a mean broccoli, red-pepper and onion stir-fry.
The perfect guy to have with you when you’re going into the Shark Tank, Jake brings a keen business sense to all of our endeavors. When he’s not plotting growth avenues, Jake enjoys surfing, lifting weights and basketball. Favorite veggie food: carrot hotdogs!
Talented, enthusiastic and a real joy to be around, Sara loves sharing her passion for all things veggie with the world. A gifted athlete, she thinks nothing of jumping into an ocean kayak with a Veggie Republic hat on and a Go Pro to get the shot she needs. A lover of all things San Diego and avocado on everything.
Like the former Marine he is, Jazz has never turned down a Veggie Mission. He’s wielded his camera on the beaches, the yoga classes and the local farmers markets. He’s come back with iconic shots which he then used to put together our first website and ads. Brilliant! Favorite veggie treat: Black bean tostadas.
Boy were we lucky when this Portland-based artiste sent in her resume. Blessed with a great sense of style, she unleashed her graphic powers on our site with line drawings, hand-lettering, and beautiful carved and stamped backgrounds. She craves grilled asparagus and wide open spaces.
Our webmaster, Rowby is an Emmy-winning comedy writer whose credits include "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". He has tons of other credits too numerous to mention. So you'll just have to Google "Rowby Goren". Rowby is also a vegan, so he fits right in with our eco-friendly team.
Always up for a road trip or just a plain old trip to the office, Duffy helps keep us sane. He cheerfully gallops up the 5 flights of stairs to our aerie before sacking out for the rest of the afternoon. He loves to chow down on kale stalks..seriously.
